Disabled Travelers
We are proud that most of our taxis are accessible to persons in wheelchairs and we do our best to ensure that disabled persons are, and are made to feel socially inclusive.
Please advise wheelchair requrement at booking.
Our Taxis are capable of accommodating customers with special needs.Our taxis are accessible to the widest possible range of passengers.A fold-down ramp provides convenient and dignified entry for wheelchair users and a built-in securing facility holds chairs in place throughout the journey.
The elderly or those with moderate walking difficulties can make use of the intermediate step and swivel-out seat at the nearside passenger door. Movement inside the passenger compartment is made easier thanks to easy-grip grab handles which are highlighted, along with seat edging, in colour-contrast material to help people with impaired vision.
Our taxis include the following accessibility features:
- Integral fold-out ramp with extension.
- Four-point wheelchair restraint belt with over-centre clamp.
- De mountable intermediate non-slip step.
- Rear swivel seat for ambulant disabled passengers.
- Yellow grab handles and seat edges for poorly sighted passengers.
- Easy release lit exterior door handles for the arthritic.
- Integral child seat with lap and diagonal seat belts.
- Optional powered swivel seat that lowers to the floor of the cab.
